The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (SKIIE Centre) was established with a bold vision. As the first State Agricultural University in India to pioneer an independent Section 8 company dedicated solely to innovation and incubation, SKIIE Centre represents a monumental leap in institutional entrepreneurship. It serves as the nexus where academic brilliance meets real-world market demands, cultivating the next generation of agri-tech leaders.
Bridging the crucial gap between academic research and commercial application, SKIIE integrates with national and regional programs to translate scientific breakthroughs into disruptive market solutions. Our impact was recognized nationally when we were awarded the prestigious "Incubator of the Year" at the Annual JK Startup Mela.

Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-KUnder his visionary leadership, SKUAST-K has transformed into an innovation-led, technology-driven institution. He is the architect of the ₹5,013 crore Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and was instrumental in securing the ₹30 Crore World Bank-ICAR NAHEP project. His tenure has seen SKUAST-K rise to 3rd among State Agricultural Universities in NIRF 2025.

Naveed Hamid
