Crop Copter Innovations Private Limited

FOUNDER

Syed Fakiha, Simran Altaf and Rouf ul Alam

Crop Copter is led by a three-member interdisciplinary team with expertise in artificial intelligence, electronics, and agricultural technology.

Overview

Crop Copter develops AI-driven agricultural drones, spectroscopic sensing systems, and smart fertigation tools for real-time soil and nutrient analysis. Its technology combines aerial sampling, IoT control, and AI models to improve crop productivity while reducing fertilizer and water waste.

Mission

Empower farmers with affordable, AI-driven, data-centric agricultural solutions that support precise decisions, higher productivity, and resource-efficient farming.

Challenge and Solution

Manual soil sampling and laboratory testing are slow, costly, and difficult for many small farmers to access. Crop Copter combines AI, drone-assisted sampling, spectroscopic sensing, and automated fertigation to deliver continuous, non-invasive field insights.

Early Constraints and Growth

The team faced limited funding, complex hardware-and-AI integration, scarce field datasets, and farmer-adoption barriers. Academic and incubation support, iterative prototyping, interdisciplinary expertise, and a focus on affordability helped the startup advance.

Milestones and Impact

The company incorporated as a private limited entity, received DST NIDHI recognition, joined SKIIE incubation, developed working drone-based sampling prototypes, participated in agri-tech exhibitions, and received Achiever of the Year 2024 recognition. It reports two employees and is working toward more sustainable, data-driven farming.

Future Plans

Run farmer and institutional pilots, refine the technology with field data, expand beyond Jammu and Kashmir, build strategic partnerships, and add predictive AI and a farmer-facing monitoring platform.
